The Alabama Southern Rural Access Program is funded with grant monies from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). Based in Princeton, NJ, RWJF is the largest philanthropy organization devoted to healthcare. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation concentrates on four main areas:
● Promotion of healthy communities and life-styles.
● Assurance that all Americans have access to basic healthcare at
a reasonable price.
● Improvement of care and support for people with chronic health
conditions.
● Reduction of personal, social, and economic harm caused by
substance abuse (tobacco, alcohol, and illicit drugs).
